It has reached the point in the semester where any sort of motivation has completely disintegrated. As the second to last semester of my undergraduate year is winding down, I have realized that this semester has easily been the semester from Hell.
Though the semester only consisted of fourteen credit hours, it is hard to juggle the homework while also studying for/taking two GREs, applying to graduate schools (which includes writing personal statements, finding letters of recommendation, and preparing 15-20 page writing samples), and holding a position as an officer in four different organizations on top of all of that. Not to mention the failed relationship, the funeral, and the week-long sickness that threw me for some loops this semester.
Of course, it also doesn't help that I despise a majority of the classes that I took this semester. I have known for a long time that if I am not interested in something, I have to put a lot more effort into motivating myself to actually get things accomplished for the class.
Either way, all of the excuses in the world won't change the fact that I have not done my best this semester. It's a good thing that I am actually looking forward to my classes next semester.
Two papers away from the end of the semester.
